Two new intercontinental ballistic missiles by North Korea consider a serious threat by the US. They have tested their missile system to build their military capacity against attacks by the US. They have retaliated and declared their ballistic missile to prevent any attacks from any country. They have developed their missile system to beef up their defense.
Implications of the build-up of the ballistic missile systems pose threat to the stability of southeast Asian countries. The allies of the US and other regional powers oppose the increase in the arms race and it hampers disarmament efforts in the limiting arms race. It can be only possible through the collective efforts of all regional players along with global powers to reduce the number of arms.
Asymmetry is one of the major causes the prevent disarmament attempts by states. The disparity between major powers, middle powers, and small powers created a trust deficit among nations to curtail the spread of arms and develop new missile technologies to increase their security. There are multiple threats to the world including the arms race to achieve stability at the global level.
