China's Response over Taiwan by US

China has expressed its concern about Taiwan. The statement by the US government over Taiwan was not taken lightly by China. They have conveyed the US should be handled properly to avoid any bitterness in their relations with each other. The mishandling of Taiwan could backfire and strain their relations if not taken up with caution.

China claims self-ruled Taiwan as part of its territory. Taiwan has an independent government and works without any pressure from China. The signals of pro-independence for Taiwan after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. The Chinese spokesperson rejected the statement by the US and will have unprecedented implications for regional politics and its repercussions at the global level.

Washington has given clarity and issued a statement that they don’t support any unilateral action by any state to disrupt the status quo of the region. The invasion of Ukraine raised concerns for global peace and security. The experts have reservations over the Taiwan issue because of the demands of Nationalists for self-autonomy for them.

The US-China relationship would become more strained. They have a history of having tensions with each other over Taiwan and other regional issues with each other. The normalization of relations involves cooperation in economic and trade sectors. They cooperate over global issues that concern all states of the world particularly to maintain the status quo.

China supports the use of diplomatic means to resolve the Ukraine issue and does not support nationalists in Taiwan strait. It would disturb the regional security that has implications at the global level. China opposed the US for equating Ukraine with Taiwan. They rejected the claims of the US over Taiwan and call it baseless which would be proved fatal for the region.
