US-Iran Nuclear Deal:

The Biden administration has re-engaged Iran for talks on their nuclear program. The decision to continue talks with Iran was based on the objective to restore their involvement in the Middle East.  The talks on Iran's nuclear program ended during the Trump administration. The nuclear deal with Iran ensured that they can use nuclear energy for civil purposes. It led to a step of peaceful settlement of nuclear energy usage for Iran after holding talks with Middle East countries in 2015. The nuclear agreement was concluded after rounds of discussions.

The Iran nuclear program became the point of contention for the US and other states. According to the US, the administration found evidence that Iran is using nuclear energy to build a nuclear weapon. It became impetuous to step back from the deal with Iran. They suspected Iran's intentions to use nuclear energy can be used to develop nuclear weapons that can threaten stability within the Middle East.  The apprehensions and claims of the US were highlighted by Trump led to a deadlock with Iran over the nuclear deal. Iran denied any claims of the use of nuclear energy for making nuclear weapons.

The enforcement tactics during the Trump administration over Iran backfired. Iran refused to hold any talks with the US.  They expressed their concerns by denying claims of misuse of the US-Iran nuclear deal that was concluded in 2015. Iran was taken by surprised over the reversal of the deal with the US and showed a willingness to cooperate with the major stakeholders of the deal. Trump warned to take action against Iran for not fulfilling the terms of the nuclear deal. The deadlock between both countries became a major concern at the global level. All the key power players were concerned with tensions between US and Iran.

US president Joe Biden changed their policy stance on the Iran nuclear deal. The new administration shifts its focus in the context of its involvement in the regional politics of the Middle East. The change in their policy was to engage Iran. Since Iran holds a key position in Middle Eastern regional politics and shapes the power configuration. The significance of Iran cannot be overlooked in its impact particularly, in the context, of the nuclear deal.   The regional dynamics require strategic planning and tact to resolve issues that become hurdles in the process of negotiations with the other actors and non-state actors.

The likely scenario pertaining to Iran nuclear deal is a complex subject matter for the experts and analysts. The future of Iran's nuclear deal is a matter of concern for the other regional actors. Similarly, the growing concern of global power players towards Iran has increased after the reluctance to hold talks. The Iranian leadership has also expressed their concerns due to the trust deficit. The vitality of the nuclear deals has increased the challenges for regional actors and managing their conflicts. The US takes interest in restoring its relations with Iran to reduce its active engagement in the region.

The future of Iran's nuclear talks with the US is unclear and uncertain. The stakes for the US have increased due to two major conflicts in form of Syria and Yemen. These two conflicts have increased the cost for all the major players and made regional politics more unpredictable for experts on the Middle East.

Melting Glaciers in Antarctic Region

Satellite images show the 1,200sq km (463sq miles) Conger Ice Shelf collapsed completely in March. According to studies by scientists, the large chunks of ice attached to the land acts as a buffer to prevent ice from melting and flowing into the ocean increasing the risk of submergence due to a rise in sea level on the land areas. The areas on coastlines are in danger of receding land areas due to the rise in sea levels. The temperature reaching 40C (70F) above normal in parts of East Antarctica, is unusual for the region during this time of the year. Scientists, consider the melting of ice in Antarctica is likely to increase the risk of flooding. The rapid pace of melting of ice has adverse effects on the land adjoining the ocean. Melting of ice is creating an effect Neff described as “a fire hose of moisture phenomenon. The rate of climate change is three times warmer in the Antarctic than in the Arctic Ocean. In the context of factors, first and foremost is the increase in greenhous...
